![]() Plus, the new Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) allows you to utilize all of the extreme power and acceleration that was engineered into the Slash by making it easier to control on slippery surfaces, loose dirt, smooth concrete, and even ice and snow. The Ultimate also comes with an optional sealed silicone-filled center differential if you really want to get the best combination of handling, power delivery, and cornering speed. ![]() The smoothness of these higher-volume shocks comes from the PTFE-coated bores, which are just one example of the advanced engineering Traxxas has put into this SCT. Experience the smoothest suspension and most consistent damping through each and every lap. To enhance control on rougher track surfaces, the new and larger hard-anodized GTR shocks are included as well. ![]() Probably the biggest and most popular addition to the Ultimate Slash is the new LCG, or low center of gravity, chassis that optimizes handling to give maximum cornering speeds. In this case, Ultimate means just that a fully ready-to-run, and race-ready, Slash 4X4 with the best of everything already installed. The next and greatest step in the evolution of the Traxxas Slash Short Course Truck has been unleashed on the R/C world! The name says it all Traxxas Slash 4X4 Ultimate! TQi 2.4Ghz RADIO WITH LINK WIRELESS MODULE, FACTORY-INSTALLED TELEMETRY SENSORS, LOW-CG CHASSIS, HIGH-VOLUME SHOCKS, AND MORE! NOW INCLUDES - TRAXXAS STABILITY MANAGEMENT (TSM), Traxxas Stampede, Rustler, Bandit and Nitro Spo I don't know why Traxxas doesn't just list that fact on their product page.Traxxas Slash 4X4 and Stampede 4X4 RPM Parts You take the ones out of the stock shocks and put them in the new shocks, it's really simple. You'll just have to change the hollow silver balls in the bottom mounts of the front shocks so they fit the 2wd Slash arms. It's a good skill to learn when it comes time for maintenance and changing the shock oil in the future.Įdit - and yes they will fit. I'd definitely recommend getting the first link, filling them with oil is easy to do, there are plenty of good videos out there about it. They're also the black version, instead of the blue that comes on the Slash ultimate. See the individual pictures in the listing. In the first link, the shocks still come factory assembled, they just don't have oil in them. I realized after I posted that the first link was actually separate parts, which is almost nicer since normally it would cost more to buy the shocks and springs separately brand new. Normally when I post an eBay GT-R link it's from someone who's stripped it off of an RTR truck so they're assembled and filled with oil from the factory. I would like to get him new shocks for xmas and help him install them before he goes back to school in january.īudget is $100 (or a bit more if it's worth the extra $$) My brother would love to brag to all his friends at school that he upgraded the shocks on the RC car. ![]() nothing is custom on it.Ĭould someone point me to the things I need to buy to get new shocks? Preferably gtr, unless there is a reason to avoid those. but this is just the stock traxxas slash 2wd. Is that right? But they dont come with springs? I am reading forums and all sorts of people listing what they have with their custom builds. sounds like the caps dont pop off as much with those & they seem to come with the springs, but then people said for a bit more, you can get gtr shocks and all the components of gtr shocks are better quality. I know nothing about RC cars and I am really confused on what to get and where to get it. He is obsessed with the shocks and brings up nearly every day that we need to upgrade them. He saved up all his money for the last 18 months to get a slash 2wd. I have a little brother who likes RC cars.
